Mokopane woman (24) caught with rock cocaine – police

A 24-year-old woman from Masodi Village in Mahwelereng outside Mokopane was arrested this morning (Monday) for the possession of drugs.

MOKOPANE -According the Mahwelereng Police Spokesperson, Constable Sello Leso the woman was arrested during an operation led by members of the Mahwelereng K9 unit and the Crime Prevention Unit.  “The suspect had 76 Rock sachets to the total value of R7 600 in her possession. She will appear before the Mokerong Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday.”

According to MedicineNet: “Rock is a more volatile method of processing cocaine using either, rock cocaine (also called crack) is processed with ammonia or sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and water and heated to remove the hydrochloride, thus producing a form of cocaine that can be smoked.”
