Meet the new faces of Sundowns Limpopo

The Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2016 winners for Limpopo were announced during a glamorous ceremony at Garden Court recently.

LIMPOO – Rotondwa Musitha (22) and Tlakale Moroaswi (21) were the two local beauties crowned and they will compete in the Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2016 national pageant where they will represent Limpopo. Each of them received a cash prize of R60 000.

Musitha, who hails from Mokopane, is a General Manager at Ventso Group and owner of Tshianeo, a non-governmental organisation. She holds a Bachelor degree for business administration from Regenessy Business School and is a first-year public procurement supply chain management student at the University of South Africa (Unisa).

“It means a lot to me to be crowned Miss Mamelodi Sundowns 2016 Limpopo. It is the first pageant I competed in and meeting everyone and the support they give each other is really humbling,” she said.

Moroaswi hails from Atok and is a student at the Sefako Makgathi Health Science University (former Medical University of South Africa, Medunsa).

“Being crowned as Miss Mamelodi Sundowns Limpopo, for me, means I am now an ambassador everywhere I go. Everything I do will be a reflection of the brand and I will do my best to be a great ambassador,” she said.

Project Manager and former Miss Mamelodi Sundowns, Kerusha Govender, said during the pageant they were looking for young women who would embody what the Mamelodi Sundowns brand stands for.

“Two of the former Miss Mamelodi Sundowns national winners have come from Limpopo. It is a province with an abundance of talented people.

What we found most inspiring was that many of the contestants are studying or working all while starting initiatives to uplift their community.

They are passionate about bettering their communities so they are exactly the type of young women Mamelodi Sundowns wants to invest in. The contestants are confident and intelligent and we believe they represent the country’s future leaders,” said Govender.
