Six appear in court for brutal assault of suspected thieves
The group accused the two men of stealing electric cables, live stock and dealing in drugs.
LIMPOPO – Six people were arrested on 19 October in connection with a murder which took place on 17 October in Gamosoge Village in Mapela at around 22:30.
According to Mahwelereng Police Spokersperson, Constable Solly Leso: “The community assaulted Tshepho Sebelebele (23) and Bongani Adam Mofomme (24) for allegedly stealing electric cables, live stock and dealing in drugs. Sebelebele and Mofomme later succumbed to their injuries in hospital. Six of the members were arrested and appeared before the Mokerong Magistrate’s Court on 25 October and released on R500 bail. The case was postponed to 2 December.
