Flora Park takes action against crime

MOKOPANE – The Forum was founded with the goal to combat crime. The members will do regular foot patrols and report any suspicious behaviour to the police. Each member will be equipped with a reflecting jacket, a flashlight and a whistle. The whistle will be blown in case of emergency. Residents who are interested in joining this initiative can contact the Secretary of the Flora Park Forum, KC Matome at 082 809 2870 or DA Councillor of Ward 31, Korny Dekker at 082 878 1502. The ‘Blow the Whistle’ idea was the initiative of Dekker that already started five years ago, when he first donated a bunch of whistles to the community. He urges residents to also get involved and to help combat crime.
