LIMPOPO – Per statement issued by LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, an intelligence-led joint-operation composed of the Provincial Tracking Team, Crime Intelligence and Polokwane TRT led to the arrest of three suspects for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition as well as possession of explosives.
The officers recovered the following:
1 x 9mm norinco with one magazine and 6 rounds.
1 x normal round explosives.
8 x electrical detonators.
7 x dura fuse explosives.
13× explogel cartridges.
The suspects are being profiled to determine the origin of the firearm and explosives.
They are expected to appear before the Schoonoord Magistrate’s Court, Burgersfort soon and Police investigations are continuing.
