Mogalakwena’s very own fashionista

After the beautiful 30-year-old Daphney Tsatsi stole the spotlight during Bosveld Review’s Red Carpet Ladies morning on 22 October with her stylish dress, and Bosveld wanted to know, who is this fashionista in our midst?

MOKOPANE – Daphney was born and bred in a small village outside of Mokopane called Ga-Magongoa and after finishing Gr 12 at St. Thomas Private School in Mokopane she obtained her diploma in public relations at the Tshwane University of Technology.
She is currently furthering her studies through the University of South Africa (Unisa)while working as a Senior Stakeholder Relations Assistant at Ivanplats.
Daphney says she has been working at Ivanplats since 2013 and that she is one of the fortunate few that can truthfully say she loves what she does.
Daphney says she is a mother with big dreams. “Lately I have developed an obsession with the health and fitness lifestyle and my family, especially my son, is my life.
“I was born and raised in the Catholic church, and I hope to die with my Catholic faith,” she explains.
She further told Bosveld that when she grows tired of the corporate world, she would like to run her own events company.
Daphney describes the Red Carpet Ladies Morning as follows: “It was quite an experience. It’s not every day one gets the opportunity to dress-up and look pretty. We not only had fun, but we also learned a lot. Events like that should be held more often”.
She says it felt amazing to be awarded as the best dressed lady on the day and that she plans to spoil someone special for Christmas with the gift voucher from Haley Joy Boutique.
Do you love fashion?
Not so much. I love looking good, I just don’t make the effort all the time.
What is the one item you will never leave the house without?
Other than my cell phone, definitely lipstick. I believe for any type of day, there is lipstick.”
Do you have a fashion icon that you look up to?
I don’t have someone I look up to; I kind of do my own thing. However, I think the ex-OPW (Our Perfect Wedding) presenter, Thembisa Mdoda, has the look to look out for. I love it.
With the latest summer fashion she advises women to remember that less is not always more and that comfort is everything.
“You cannot go wrong with African print as it is currently one of the hottest fashion trends. The Cape sleeves are also a must-have this Christmas.”
