MUSINA: one of five awaiting trial prisoner escapees arrested

The police in Musina are still tracking four awaiting trial prisoners who escaped from the police holding cells on 11 November.

LIMPOPO – The police in Musina have re-arrested one of the five awaiting trial prisoners who escaped from the police holding cells on Friday 11 November.

26-year-old Bruce H Hungwane was hiding within the Musina Policing area and was apprehended yesterday evening (Monday) said Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

The police are still tracking the remaining four escapees being:

– An 18-year-old boy from Zimbabwe who was arrested for theft out of motor vehicle.

– John Job Ndlovu (23) from Zimbabwe who was arrested for murder.

– Samuel Lucky Tawanda Masotsha (21 ) from Zimbabwe who was arrested for Robbery.

– An 18-year-old boy from Zimbabwe who was arrested for house breaking and theft.

Hungwane who was previously arrested on rape charges, will appear before Musina Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (Wednesday) on a charge of escaping from lawful custody.

Police investigations are still continuing adds Ngoepe.

According to Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe the escapees who broke out through two walls are identified as follows:

– Bruce H Hungwane (26) from Zimbabwe who was arrested for rape.

– An 18-year-old boy from Zimbabwe who was arrested for theft out of motor vehicle.

– John Job Ndlovu (23) from Zimbabwe who was arrested for murder.

– Samuel Lucky Tawanda Masotsha (21 ) from Zimbabwe who was arrested for Robbery.

– An 18-year-old boy from Zimbabwe who was arrested for house breaking and theft.
