LIMPOPO –Two men connected to several housebreakings and armed robberies have been arrested in the Burgersfort area on Thursday.
An intelligence-led joint-operation conducted by the Burgersfort Crime Intelligence Unit, Burgersfort Detectives, Tubatse Crime Prevention Unit and Burgersfort Crime Prevention Unit led to the arrest of the two men, aged 23 and 49 and they recovered the following:
• 1 x 303 rifle with 2 live rounds.
• 1 x big generator.
• 1 x pair of gloves.
• 15 x cellphones.
• Housebreaking implements.
The suspects have been connected to 10 cases of housebreakings and armed robberies and will appear before the Tubatse Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (Friday) and police investigations are continuing.
According to a statement issued by LT. Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe, an operation conducted in the Villa Nora Policing area led to the arrest of a 41-year-old man in Tshelong village for possession of copper cables.
Six rolls of copper cables with an estimated value of R3 500 were recovered.

The operation also led to the arrest of two other men, aged 33 and 35 for burglary and stock theft incidents in Ditaung village. Eight stolen cattle were also recovered.
These suspects will appear in the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court soon and police investigations are continuing.
