Four youths ‘terrorizing’ LTT and surrounding communities arrested

Four suspects, aged between 17 and 27-years-old, were arrested during an intelligence led police operation in the Louis Trichardt and Tshikota area.

LIMPOPO – The operation was conducted by the Makhado K9 unit, Crime Prevention Task Team and Detectives yesterday (Thursday), according to Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

“The police were following up information about a group of youths ‘terrorizing’ the area and linked to a spate of burglaries in the areas,” he said.

During the arrest suspected stolen goods to the value of R20 000 were recovered: 1x Tork craft mini rotary set, 1x Dremel mini rotary set, 3x Dremel drills set, 1x Dremel valves set, 1x Toshiba laptop, a grey jacket and five cellphones.

The above mentioned suspects will possibly be linked to other cases of Housebreaking that were committed in and around Louis Trichardt. Additional charges of possession of suspected stolen property will be registered, added Moatshe.

The suspects will appear in Makhado Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of housebreaking and theft.
