Makapan’s Caves a wonder for youngsters

Learners from Thorntree visited the Makapan’s Caves recently and found it very informative.

The learners were fascinated with the archaeological evidence, fossils and history that they learned about.

This National Heritage site is of great paleontological significance and artifacts from throughout the Stone and Iron Ages have been unearthed here.

In the history cave, chief Makapan and his followers were besieged for a month in 1854 by Paul Kruger and the Voortrekkers.

This is a real must-see for residents and visitors in Mokopane.
