Police in Giyani have arrested four suspects from Nsavulani village near Giyani for the murder of a woman who was found dead following her disappearance on 17 April.

LIMPOPO – Her body was found yesterday (Thursday) in bushes near Nsavulani village after a long search conducted by joint operation units and residents, said Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

The motive for the murder is still unknown, he added.

The deceased was identified as Hlayisani Precious Hlongwane (26) from Hlomela village near Giyani.

In reaction to her disappearance, four houses were torched and one car damaged by a group of community members who believed the owners of the properties were responsible for the deceased’s disappearance. No arrests in this regard have been made.

The suspects, aged between 33 and 63-years-old, will appear before the Giyani Magistrate Court soon.

Police investigations in both cases continue, concluded Ngoepe.
