Police search for killers of grandmother

The Police in Roossenekal outside Groblesdal have launched a massive manhunt for the suspect(s) who brutally killed an elderly woman on a farm on Friday evening.

LIMPOPO – According to a statement issued by Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the deceased (78) was killed in her house on Paddadam farm.

“It is alleged that the deceased was with her grandchild at home when two unknown suspects arrived, however before she attended to the people she sent her grandchild to a nearby farm to collect something,” he said

He added that when the grandchild returned to the house, she found her granny lying in a pool of blood with multiple open wounds throughout her body. The victim was unable to talk and the people were gone. The granddaughter immediately summoned the police.

“The motive behind this incident is not clear at this stage,” he said.

Our preliminary investigations have revealed that the suspects were travelling in a white Toyota Hilux VVTI, however the registration is unknown.
