LIMPOPO – The police in Maake, outside Tzaneen, arrested the man at Lorraine village in the Sekororo area on 14 June.
Police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the suspect, who is the ex-principal of a Private School in Nkowa Nkowa outside Tzaneen, called the girl out of the school premises saying that he wanted to give her a message and took her to his home in Loraine village where on arrival, he raped her.
“The victim opened a case and investigations continue,” he said.
The suspect briefly appeared before the Lenyenye Magistrate Court on Monday, 19 June and will appear again today, 20 June, for a formal bail application.
“The suspect is still in custody,” Ngoepe concluded.
