LIMPOPO – The Saps Endangered Species Section of the Stock Theft Unit have launched a manhunt for a group of suspects who were involved in the illegal hunting and killing of the three lions.
It is alleged that the farm’s security, who were doing patrols in the lion enclosure, noticed the three lions were poisoned , killed and their heads and paws were removed.
Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says one knife was found at the scene after police reacted swiftly to the crime scene.
“Police investigations will continue and the suspects in this matter are still unknown. No arrests have been made as yet,” he explains.
