LIMPOPO – The Apel Police are looking for a group of people who killed a man and burnt a vehicle in a field outside Lebowakgomo.
Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe says the police were notified by residents of a nearby community and arrived on the scene to find a burnt out Hyundai halt truck in a grazing field. The truck was empty and upon further investigation the members found the body of the deceased a short distance away in the inner bushes.”The deceased had multiple stab wounds throughout his body, he said.
He added that the deceased has been identified as a 21-year-old who resides in Lebowakmgogo Zone R.
The motive behind this incident is not yet known and no arrests have been made as yet.
“It is alleged the deceased was travelling with a group of friends when he was attacked, but the friends are still unknown at this stage.” The police have request that anyone with information which can lead to the arrest of the suspects in this matter to contact Detective/Sergeant Kubayi at 071 602 0268 or Captain Boshomane at 079 894 5501.
