Police divers recover body in river near Dennilton

The body was thrown into the river after an apparent mob justice incident

LIMPOPO- Police have arrested a 36-year-old suspect for the murder of a 41-year-old who was killed in Ntwane Village.

Police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo says the deceased was accused of theft and was severely assaulted and thrown into the river.

“The body of the deceased was retrieved from the water by divers,” he said.

Police investigations are continuing and Mojapelo says more arrests are expected.
