LIMPOPO- According to Hawks spokesperson Captain Matimba Maluleke, the two men were artisans at the Makhado Municipality and were arrested for theft of copper cables.
“The two men were released on R1000 bail each,” Maluleke said.
The duo were arrested by Hawks’ Serious Organise Crime and National Crime Intelligence on 13 July 2017 in Makhando.
“During their arrest, the police found copper cables to the value of R30 000,” Maluleke explained.
Both suspects will appear again before the Makhado Magistrates Court on 4 August 2017.
