Three burnt bodies found on the scene of head-on collision outside Lebowakgomo

A truck and Jeep collided outside Lebowakgomo on Wednesday evening

LIMPOPO -Three people died after the vehicle they were traveling in caught fire after a head-on collision near Lebwakgomo on Wedneday evening.

It is alleged the two vehicles, a truck and a Jeep, traveling in opposite directions collided at around 18:00 next to the Lebowakgomo Stadium said Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe.

“The Jeep caught fire with all three occupants still inside. The truck driver sustained minor injuries during the incident.”

Forensic investigations to determine the race, gender and the nationalities of the deceased are still unfolding.

The exact cause of the collision will form part of a police investigation, Ngoepe concluded.
