Polokwane Mayor’s life threatened, police looking for suspect

POLOKWANE – Local detectives are looking for a male suspect who has threatened the mayor, Thembi Nkadimeng with death and violence.

Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe said: “It is alleged that on 28 and 29 September 2017, the suspect sent messages to the complaint’s cell phone in which he threatened to kill her and also burn her house.”

The motive behind these threats is still unknown but police investigations will tell as they are still unfolding, he added.

The suspect in this matter has been identified, however no arrest have been made as yet. A manhunt for the accused is still on, concluded Ngoepe.
