Cash-in-transit vehicle robbed at petrol station, cnr Marshall and Webster

The van was robbed at around 10:15, this morning, at Elegant Fuel.

POLOKWANE – Police are currently on scene.

According to Elegant Fuel owner, Frank Hislop, no shots were fired.

“The cash-in-transit van pulled up to pick up money. The men took the first stack out and placed it in the van. After taking the second stack to the van, a group of four men pulled it out of the guard’s hands.”

He says no one was harmed.

“At the moment, we cannot say how much money was taken but we are just happy that nobody was injured,” Hislop said.

The suspects fled in a silver VW Golf with the registration number DTV 774 L.

This is a developing story.
