POLOKWANE – According to a statement issued by the Polokwane Municipality: “The maintenance to the Zone 8 substation is to allow the rewiring of the no.3 panel from Sigma substation. Currently, the indicated panel is connected to a 11 kv busbar and needs to be replaced with another panel which will ensure protection of devices from tripping and clear faults correctly at all times.”

Maintenance is set to start at 07:00 and last until 15:00 and will affect Zone 8, Zone 1 Extension, Zone 5, Zone 4, Zone 7 areas, Seshego plaza and the Seshego Police Station.
“Residents and businesses are urged to switch off their electrical appliances to avoid any damage before the emergency repairs start. We further request that residents make necessary arrangements and planning ahead of the outage,’ the municipality urges.
The municipality apologises, in advance, for any inconveniences caused.
