The latest movie in the 50 Shades Freed trilogy is currently showing in Polokwane and was very well received by a local audience of women who were treated to a preview at Mall of the North Ster Kinekor last Wednesday evening.
Greeted at the entrance by the sight of Jané Bacher, Wendy Ndouvhada and Nina Williams from Ace Models Limpopo showcasing some elegant wedding dresses, attendees were treated to champagne and snacks provided by Panarottis as well as mini-make up makeovers, quick shoulder massages and perfume samples.
Directed by James Foley, 50 Shades Freed is the third movie in the 50 Shades trilogy about Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson). Believing they’ve left behind the shadowy figures from the past, billionaire Grey and his new wife (Anastasia) fully embrace their inextricable connection and shared life of luxury. Just as the Greys begin to step into their new roles, sinister events come to light and jeopardise their happy ending before it even begins.
Best friends Nzierah Cupido, Khatoon Subban and Beatrice Subhan were at the preview and very excited to see what happens next in the Grey’s lives. “We are followers of the 50 Shades movies and definitely couldn’t miss tonight!” said Subhan.
Beulah Moulder, Nadia Meiring and Delanie de Bruin were also looking forward to the preview while tucking into the snacks and sipping champagne.
Nicolien Wilken and Odette van Heerden said they were looking forward to watching the movie. “We’ve read the book, now we are eager to see the movie.”
Several women took the opportunity of having a mini-makeup makeover or a quick shoulder massage while others were eager to sample some of the perfume on display, which were on offer by some of the stores at Mall of the North.
Shortly before the move started, lucky draws were held and there were shrieks of delight at being one of the lucky winners.
Two of the winners, Analiza da Silva and Rita Hurter agreed that the evening was much more than they expected. “And now we have the extra bonus of seeing 50 Shades Freed on the big screen before anyone else!” a delighted Hurter exclaimed.
Mall of the North Marketing Manager Mari Delport said the evening was the first of many to come. “I would like to see this become a regular event for the ladies,” she added.
