LIMPOPO – The South African Police Service in Limpopo say they are concerned about ongoing domestic related crimes in the province.
This follows two separate incidents in which one women was killed and another severely injured.

According to police spokesperson Lt Col Moatshe Ngeope, a 36-year-old man was found dead at Ga-Mathabatha village in the Malipsdrift policing area, following a domestic dispute with his lover.
“The man killed his 30-year-old girlfriend with a sharp instrument, however, the motive for this incident is unknown,” he said.
The second incident, which occurred in Tafelkop in the Motetema Policing area, a 53-year-old man was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife (41) in which he struck her with a hard object and stabbed her with a sharp object several times throughout her body.

“The woman survived the ordeal and is currently recuperating in hospital,” Ngoepe added.
He also said that the cause of the fire and the motive behind this dispute is still unknown.
“Police investigations into both incidents continue,” he said,
Ngoepe concluded by urging communities to consult with relevant local professionals and authorities for intervention in any cases of domestic related situations rather than harming each other.
