POLOKWANE – CCTV footage shows at around 02:55, five suspects, three men and two women, armed with firearms robbed the filling station and fled with an undisclosed amount of money from the cash registers as well as stock.
The suspects used a black Volkswagen Golf during the robbery and also unsuccessfully attempted to break open the drop safe.
Enco Forecourt Manager, Werner Dahms, confirmed the incident and said the Golf did not have a number plate and no registration number was obtained.
He added no one was injured during the incident.
Limpopo Police Spokesperson, Lt Col Moatshe Ngoepe, said no arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
