Bolivia Estate’s Lepelle venue was transformed into a fairy tale wonderland where school principals were inspired by innovative ideas for matric farewells on display as they attended a scrumptious high tea at the Matric Farewell Exhibition held at the estate in Polokwane last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (17 to 19 April).
According to Chrezanne Dunkley, Bolivia Estate General Manager of Operations, suppliers were given the opportunity to display what they have on offer for upcoming matric farewells. “Principals or school representatives were invited to join us for high tea and at the same time to view our venue offering – there are 14 to choose from – and to benefit from our more than three decades of event experience and expertise to ensure that their upcoming matric farewells are a fairy tale experience,” she explained.
Feathers, balloons, ornate glassware and pearls were just some of the items used to display different themes at each table while other suppliers offered additional essential services such as what to wear, makeup artistry and music.
Maboya Mmatli, Principal of Mmabulepu Secondary School traveled all the way from Zebediela to come and get ideas for his school’s upcoming matric farewell. “I am astonished by the huge variety and very impressed with the different venues Bolivia Estate has on offer. I have definitely got some new ideas brewing for this year’s matric farewell,” he said.
Florah Leso, Deputy Principal of Taxila Secondary School said she especially liked the ‘Winter Wonderland’ theme as well as the ‘Feather Fantasy themes.
Dunkley concluded by saying that any school having their matric farewell at Bolivia Estate could rest assured that it would be an event on everyone’s lips for much time to come. “We are here to make sure everything is sheer perfection, the littlest detail can make a huge difference,” Dunkley concluded.
