MOKOPANE – A councillor claims that he “cannot be fooled” by the sudden tour around town hosted by the Mayor, Andrina Matsemela.
Korny Dekker, Councillor of Mogalakwena Municipality sent a letter to Bosveld where he stated that the sudden tour around town of Matsemela is just to pull wool over the eyes of the community.
“I had requested numerous times, from various departments urgent feedback on concerns received from the community. Only one department came back to me and it was the electrical department.”
Dekker said what Matsemela tour around town to identify problem areas; is window dressing while the community is in need of urgent action from the municipality.
“All these problems that was identified during Matsemela’s tour did not happened over night. It is problems that came from years of fraudulent tenders and maladministration while she is the mayor of Mokopane. Now that the election day is coming closer, all of a sudden she wants to pay attention to problems. She should have done this the minute problems are reported. ”
