[WATCH] Olifantspoort Plant shut down due to leak, water shortages expected

The Polokwane Municipality says all areas of supply will be affected

POLOKWANE – In a statement released, the Municipality says the Olifanspoort plant has been shut off due to a leak on the line to Polokwane.

“All areas of supply in the municipality will be affected and this comes at a time when all the City and Seshego reservoirs are badly affected,” the municipality said.

Areas receiving water are advised to use it sparingly and the municipality says it is deploying tankers to the affected areas as it is expected to take a while before the situation could improve.
