Limpopo guesthouse robbed; police launch manhunt for group of suspects
The Police in Apel are now calling upon Bothwell Maligasi to come to the nearest police station to assist the police in investigations.
LIMPOPO – This follows a business robbery incident at a guest house, in the Mohlaletse area outside Lebowakgomo, at around 01:00 on Friday.
In a statement released, Police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, said the group of suspects attacked the employees at the said overnight accommodation and ransacked the building. “It is alleged one employee was shot during the incident,” he added.
The suspects thereafter uninstalled Plasma TVs from the wall and loaded them together with several other electrical appliances into a BMW sedan and fled the scene, Ngoepe said.

The Police were summoned and the suspects’ car was immediately spotted whereby a car chase ensued until the driver of the culprits’ vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree alongside the road. The suspects managed to flee on foot, he explained.
“The vehicle was seized and a number of items believed to be the ones robbed during this incident, were recovered, which included more than ten Plasma TVs, cell phones, TV remote controls, laptops, CCTVs, clothing, etc.”
The recovered motor vehicle was positively identified as belonging to a well-known national soccer player. Preliminary Police investigations revealed that he was not in the car during this incident and as yet he has not been arrested but he is co-operating with the Police.

The suspects involved in this matter including the driver of this motor vehicle are still on the run.
The Police are calling upon Bothwell Maligasi, a Zimbabwean National, to come to Apel Police Station or the nearest Police Station to assist in the investigations in this matter.
