Nominations for the 2019 awards close on 14 June and business organisations, business and community formations and individuals are invited to come forward and nominate exceptional women to be finalists for the awards.
Since 2001, these awards honouring entrepreneurial and professional women, have been hosted by each of the seven Bwasa branches around the country. The branches acknowledge a winner in each of six categories, being Professional, Corporate, Entrepreneur, Emerging Entrepreneur, Social Entrepreneur and Youth Entrepreneur. In the Entrepreneur category, awards are given to women as emerging entrepreneurs, established entrepreneurs, youth entrepreneurs as well as those who are involved in social entrepreneurships.
The purpose of the awards is to give recognition to women who are in service to society, have been working hard and have succeeded in making their mark in their respective fields of expertise. The previous years’ event was a success with over 300 guests in attendance.
