Polokwane police arrest boy (17) for murder

Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe confirmed to Review that the boy, who attends school in Polokwane, was arrested today, 8 July, in connection with the murder of the 23-year-old, Tlou Nkoana.

POLOWKANE – A 17-year-old boy from Westenburg is expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on a charge of murder.

Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe confirmed to Review that the boy, who attends school in Polokwane, was arrested today, 8 July, in connection with the murder of the 23-year-old, Tlou Nkoana.

“The boy was arrested after the murder, which occurred in the city. The victim had been stabbed to death. The motive behind this incident is not clear at this stage but ongoing police investigations will tell,” Ngoepe said.

Nkoana’s death comes just five months after Thorisho Themane was killed by a group of school learners in Flora Park on 23 February. Nine teenagers have since been arrested and appeared in the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court.
