Local biker ‘kits’ others out for medical emergencies

From colds, to headaches and a need for a plaster, Deon Froehlich has designed his own Biker Medical Kit to keep handy when on the road.

POLOKWANE – When travelling on a motorcycle, there is always a problem when needing to take something with you and there not being enough space to do so. This is especially true when it comes to a medical kit if you go on a long drive or heading out to a rally for the weekend.

Keeping this in mind, local biker, Deon Froehlich, took it upon himself to set up a kit for bikers which can be used in emergencies. “Bikers take on rides which may lead them to situations where they could get burnt or be in an area where their hay fever acts up and you are stuck in the middle of nowhere. I designed the kit based on that,” Deon told Review.

The kit, he says, includes items such as burn ointment, pain medication and even something for allergies.

“I made the kit for my own personal use and showed a few friends and now it is flying. People love the fact that the items in the kit are practical and that it is so small, you can hide it anywhere in between the other items you take with you,” he says.

He urges all bikers to stay safe and make sure that they plan ahead for a long ride and always keep safety in mind.
