“I believe that we are being successful because we open our hearts to our community and this means that we need to open our wallets too. It is important that any business big or small makes time for their communities and give back because the community can make or break you,” says Anita.

They also sponsor events and were recently part of Mrs Polokwane where they gave away vouchers. Anita adds that it is interesting that the different areas and places they travel to have a best seller from their variety of 10 sauces.

Anita and Fabian Doras spend quality time together whilst working at their family business.

“The best thing you can do for your client is to give them the opportunity to choose what they like. This makes for good business and helps you as a business to help the client make informative choices when they need to choose the right toppings,” Anita adds.

Balancing a business and their daily jobs is not always easy and Anita recommends that people who take on projects like they have, do thorough research. She adds that one should also understand that it takes a lot of time but when it is a family business, the time is luckily spent with family.

Anita advises people who make food for a living to make use of gas stoves and burners, as this will give them an advantage at places where there is no electricity available. She feels young people should venture into the food industry if they are looking for an income as people always need to eat.

The family urges people to make friends with people in the same industry because working together, can grow your brand and you never know when you’ll need their help. They believe their secret to success is that they plan ahead and make their business time their family time. In their free time, they love to cook and go fishing as a hobby.
