WATCH: Cansa Community mobiliser, Christopher Combrink explains the symbolism behind the relay and why participants walk from sunset to sunrise and leaves viewers with an important question

POLOKWANE – The 11th Cansa Relay is coming up in October and Cansa Community mobiliser, Christopher Combrink encourages people to join them for a jam-packed evening of fun in what he says, will be a ‘Cansa Relay to remember’.

This year’s theme is ‘Why do you relay?’

One in four South Africans will be affected by cancer in their lifetime, either by themselves, a family member, friend or a colleague. The relay is a celebration of hope and survivourship.

In the video, Christopher explains the symbolism behind the relay and why participants walk from sunset to sunrise and leaves viewers with an important question.

This year, Cansa Relay for Life 2019 Polokwane goes ‘global’ and participating teams are encouraged to dress up and represent one of 27 countries listed. Combrink explains why in the below video.

Residents are urged to register their teams for the relay as soon as possible and the registration fee is R750 for a team of 10 people.
