LIMPOPO – Two men, aged 34 and 35-years-old, are expected to appear before the Praktiseer Magistrate’s Court today on a charge of murder following their arrest on Friday, 18 October.
The men are believed to be responsible for the murder of Ward Councilor, Thabang Maupa, who was shot and killed in November 2018.

Police Spokesperson, Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo says since his killing, members of the Provincial Task and Tracking Teams have been hard at work investigating the case and says the men were arrested in gaMaroga village outside Burgersfort.
“This breakthrough should send a strong message that police will at all times be determined and unrelenting when tracking down any criminal,” Provincial Police Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba said.
The motive for Maupa’s murder is still being investigated.
