A toast to the future!
Celebrate with Northern Media Group, as we are proud to announce that we recently acquired The Polokwane Observer as part of our publication stable.

This investment acquisition follows the signing of a contract by Caxton & CTP Publishers and Printers to purchase The Polokwane Observer as a going concern from Media24.
Many of the staff members of the Observer have joined us as fellow Caxtonites, for which we are both thankful and proud.
According to Caxton Local Media and Commercial Print Managing Director, Jaco Koekemoer, these are quality employees whom we proudly welcome onboard the Caxton journey.
“We believe in the power of local newspapers and its digital platforms and therefore an investment of this kind simply made sense. Northern Media Group remains a high quality publisher in Polokwane and the province, and we look forward to continue serving our local markets on all levels.”
Mario Janse van Rensburg, NMG Business Manager, shared these sentiments.
“In these uncertain times, it is worth noting that we continue to offer a service second to none. Where others may face failure, we continue to invest. This is a bold move that we proudly share with our readers, advertisers, the extended communities we serve and all who proudly partner with us on so many levels.”
He said advertisers and readers of the Polokwane Observer can rest assured, as the model of the paper will continue: a free publication available on Thursdays.
Our first print edition of The Polokwane Observer will be available next week, on 30 April.
NMG’s other publications remain as steadfast as readers and advertisers have come to know and trust these brands. Expect all of these favourites reads back in print from the first week in May.
