Yellow thunderstorm alert level 2 warning issued for parts of Limpopo

SA Weather Service says the storms may lead to flooding of low lying areas.

LIMPOPO – The weather service has issued a yellow thunderstorm alert level 2 warning for the eastern parts of Limpopo. The service warns of severe thunderstorms and possible flooding of low lying areas today.

The weather service said strong winds can also be expected. According to their regional weather forecast for today, Limpopo will be “cloudy with scattered showers and thundershowers in the Lowveld at first, otherwise partly cloudy and warm to hot with isolated morning thundershowers”.

Warm weather conditions are likely to remain throughout the weekend.
