Some Polokwane roads to be partially closed tomorrow

The closures are due to a parade as part of the launch of the road safety campaign and the handover of the N1 Polokwane Ring Road.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality’s Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, has urged motorists to use alternative streets tomorrow morning.

“Limpopo’s law enforcement officers will be involved in a parade as part of the launch of the province’s road safety campaign and the handover of the N1 Polokwane Ring Road,” Selala said.

Streets to avoid include Bodenstein Street between Church and Landdros Maré Street.

“Avoid these streets between 06:30 and 07:30. The parade will start from the park next to the SABC building to the parking lot next to Jack Botes Hall. All streets that cross through Landdros Maré, from Excelsior to Bodenstein, will be affected by partial closure as and when the parade passes through the streets,” he explained.

Selala advised road users to exercise patience or to use alternative streets during the parade.

“Bodenstein Street will open for traffic after 07:30. Polokwane Municipality’s traffic officers will guide motorists and other road users for the duration of the parade,” he concluded.
