Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases rise to 19 034

According to the latest statistics by the Health Department, 86 new cases were recorded in the last 24 hours.

LIMPOPO -The province’s number of cumulative positive cases of Covid-19 is at 19 034, of which 397 cases are still active.

The Limpopo Health Department’s latest statistics indicate that 86 new cases, of which three are unallocated, were recorded in the last 24 hours.

The most new cases were recorded in the Capricorn district (37), while Vhembe and Waterberg each recorded 19new cases, Sekhukhune had seven new cases and Mopani had one. Thus far, 515 people have passed away due to Covid-19 related complications and 18 122 people have recovered.

A total of 123 858 tests have been conducted to date, with the majority done by the private sector (74 934). The public sector has conducted the other 48 392924.
