POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality’s Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, says the Krugersburg reservoirs have been at their lowermost for days.

“This has had a negative impact on most supply areas and all high lying areas in the city are affected,” Selala explained.

He said the Olifantspoort Plant has been experiencing power dip challenges, which has also affected reservoir levels that are very low.

“In the meantime, water tankers will be deployed to all affected areas as a temporary relief measure. Areas receiving supply are urged to use water sparingly,” he added.

Selala urged residents to report burst pipes, leaking water meters and open hydrants to the Municipal Water and Sanitation helpline at 015 023 5376 / 015 023 5629.
