Limpopo’s records 581 new Covid-19 cases

As of 30 January, the cumulative positive cases stand at 57 038. Here is a breakdown of positive, active cases and deaths recorded in each municipality:

LIMPOPO – According to the latest statistics issued by the Health Department, the province recorded 581 more cases in the last 24 hours. The increase brings the cumulative number of cases to 57 038, of which 51 688 people have recovered.

The statistics indicate that 1 269 people have died from Covid-19 related complications.

The most new cases were recorded, the majority were noted in the Mopani district (136) followed by the Vhembe district with 133 new cases. The Capricorn district recorded 125 new cases, Sekhukhune (108 and Waterberg (79).

The most new cases were recorded in Polokwane (93), followed by Tzaneen (61) and Fetakgomo/Tubatse (55). To date a total of 210 750 tests have been conducted, 82 296 in the public sector and 128 454 in the public sector.
