Limpopo’s Covid-19 cases at 58 672
In the last 24 hours, 372 new cases were recorded. Here is a breakdown of positive, active cases and deaths recorded in each municipality:

LIMPOPO – The province’s number of Covid-19 cases has gone up by 372 in the last 24 hours, according to the Limpopo Health Department. The number of cumulative cases is 58 672, of which 55 110 people have recovered.

The department says to date, 1 490 people have died from the virus.
The most new cases were recorded in the Vhembe district (95) of which Makhado and Thulamela each had 35 new cases. The district’s other cases were recorded in Collins Chabane (19) and Musina (6).
The majority of the Mopani district’s 81 new cases were recorded in Tzaneen (28). Phalaborwa recorded 25 new cases, while Maruleng had 10 new cases and Letaba and Giyani each had nine new cases.
The Capricorn district recorded 74 new cases of which 55 were in Polokwane, 13 in Lepelle Nkumpi, five in Molemole and one in Blouberg.
Waterberg’s 62 new cases were recorded in Thabazimbi (19), Mokgalakwena (18), Modimolle-Mookgophong (11), Lephalale (9) and Bela-Bela (5).
The Sekhukhune district had 60 new cases of which the majority were recorded in Fetakgomo/Tubatse (29). Makhuduthamaga had 16 new cases followed by Elias Motsoaledi (8) and Ephraim Mogale (7).
There are currently 2 072 active cases in the province.
