POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality’s Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, said they are working on restoring power supply to multiple areas in the municipal area.

According to Selala, Emdo Park, Rethabile Gardens, Mahlako ‘a Phahla, Lesedi Park and Mahlasedi Park are affected by the current outage.

“The affected areas are off due to a faulty ring main unit (RMU) which feeds electricity to different mini-subs. Power supply shall be restored within an estimated seven hours from now,” Selala explained.

He advised all affected areas to treat electrical wiring as live and to switch off all appliances to avoid injury and damage once supply is restored.
