Hundreds of households, businesses to be affected by current water supply stoppage

The stoppage is due to a pipeline leak that needs to be fixed.

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality’s Spokesperson, Thipa Selala, has notified residents and business owners of a water supply interruption.

Selala said Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) alerted the municipality about a stoppage at the Olifantspoort Plant.

“The water utility has notified the municipality that the Olifantspoort Plant has been stopped due to Specon pipeline leaks. The stoppage will affect all areas of supply from Ga-Chuene to the city, as well as Seshego,” he added.

Selala said Lepelle Northern Water indicated that the repairs will take an estimated five hours to complete.

“Water supply to all affected shall be restored once Lepelle Northern Water has completed repairs,” he explained.
