[VIDEO] Leaking pipeline to add to Polokwane’s water woes

Most areas within the Polokwane municipal area will be affected.

POLOKWANE – A shutdown at the Olifantspoort plant is expected to add to the already short supply of water to areas within the Polokwane Municipality.

According to Thipa Selala, the spokesperson of the Polokwane Municipality, Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) this morning announced a shutdown at the Olifanstpoort water plant due to leaks along the specon pipeline.

“LNW has estimated six hours until completion of repairs and restoration of water supply,” he added.

Areas to be affected include Ga-Chuene, Ga-Maja, Thokgwaneng, Seshego and Polokwane.

The public is advised to use water sparingly during this downtime.
