Smoothie prep done for you

Sindiswa Jas' business brings smoothie-convenience.

POLOKWANE – The 26-year-old recently moved to Polokwane from the North West and has been trying to find her feet.

Sindiswa was actively job hunting when she realised just how difficult it would be to find employment and she then decided to start her own business, Frozen Fruit Smoothie Packs.

As somebody who is into fitness, she saw a gap in the market for smoothie preparation.

“It became depressing to look for a job while everyone was losing their jobs. Since I am always making smoothies in the morning after gym or for breakfast, I decided to start something in that regard. I wash, cut, pack, freeze and deliver the fruits personally, for my client’s convenience,” she explained.

She saw a gap in the market because when she was employed, she did not have the time to prep various flavours of smoothies.

Sindiswa would constantly make one flavour of smoothie that she was sure was delicious. She decided to help the people save time and bring the convenience of cleaned, sliced and frozen fruit which is ready to go into the blender for their perfect smoothies.

A lot of time went into research on the various fruit combinations which are delicious.

“Being new in Polokwane has been a challenge as I do not know many people. I advertise on social media and I will distribute flyers to get the business out there,” she said.

Sindiswa shared that her business capitalises on the fast pace of people’s lives. She does all that work for you and delivers to your doorstep.

“Even when I do find a job, I won’t stop the business because it’s not too time consuming. I can have a day job and still grow my business on the side,” she said.
