Festive wishes from Makhado mayor

Use good judgment and make good choices, so that you and your family can celebrate the holidays and prepare for a joyous 2022, says Makhado mayor Samuel Munyai.

LIMPOPO – I wish to take this opportunity to express gratitude to the people of Makhado Municipality, particularly for having afforded me the opportunity to become your municipal manager.

We express our gratitude towards our colleagues within the municipal management and broader staff for their dedicated team efforts during the year. Working together, we have done better. Due to your hard work, the Makhado Municipality was able to implement all their action plans towards becoming a viable financial institution effectively.

While most of us will be spending time with our families and friends, for some it is a very difficult time and we must think of them and do all we can to support them, especially the elderly, orphans and vulnerable children. As Makhado Municipality, we invite those who require financial support to further their academic studies, to complete the Makhado Bursary application forms that are available from councillors and our offices.

As you enjoy this holiday season, we encourage everyone to use moderation and common sense. If you drink, please do not drive! Always wear your seat belts and watch the speed limits throughout town.

Our traffic personnel will be visible, and we shall work with all essential and law-enforcement teams to deal harshly with those who contravene public and traffic rules.

Use good judgment and make good choices, so that you and your family can celebrate the holidays and prepare for a joyous 2022.

Samuel Munyai.
