The Olifantspoort plant has been temporarily stopped due to a pipe burst on Specon pipeline.
POLOKWANE – Residents and business owners in the city are hereby notified about a temporary stoppage at the Olifantspoort plant.
Polokwane Municipality spokesperson Thipa Selala says the stoppage is due to a burst along the Specon pipeline.
“A report just came through from Lepelle Northern Water (NW) that the Olifantspoort plant is not in operation due to a pipe burst on Specon pipeline. The repairs on the line are estimated to take about eight hours,” he explained.
Selala urges all water users to embrace the value of this scarce resource and use as little water as possible during this downtime.
