10-hour planned power outage to affect the following areas

Several areas in the city will be affected by a 10-hour power outage for maintenance to take place on the Gamma, Industria, Laboria and Lerouxville Substation.

POLOKWANE – A large part of the city fed from the Gamma, Industria, Laboria and Lerouxville Substation will be without power supply for the duration of a planned power outage on Saturday (November 5).

The spokesperson for the Polokwane Municipality Thipa Selala said the 10-hour planned power outage is for maintenance to take place.

The outage will be in effect from 06:00 to 16:00.

The following areas will be affected:

– Correctional Service
– Doctor Annecke Street
– Emdo Park
– Enterprise Factory
– Fire Department
– Futura
– Game Centre
– Hoër Tegniese Skool Tom Naude
– Hoërskool Noorderland
– Industria
– Laboria
– Ladanna (and its Extensions including Annadale)
– Ladine
– Lafarge
– Lesedi Park
– Mahlako a Phahla
– Mahlasedi Park
– Nissan BB Auto
– Pietersburg Hospital
– SABC
– Traffic and Licensing Centre
– Water Treatment Plant

“Users from all affected areas are urged to treat all electrical wiring as live and to switch off all appliances to avoid injury and damage once supply is restored,” a statement read.
