Upcoming softball tournament to celebrate the legends
The Legends Softball Tournament is an annual event, and will this year be hosted to honour the Lebowakgomo Wildbeast's fallen heroes.
LIMPOPO – Lebowakgomo Wild Beast Softball Club will host the Legends Softball Tournament in Seshego and Lebowakgomo from December 24-26.
The tourney will be in honor of the Lebowakgomo Wildbeast’s fallen heroes Polelo Msola, Tlankie Moruoa, Koketso Matlala and Bradley Sebopa.
The tournament will feature Seshego Raiders, Naledi Spiders, Sebayeng Sharks, Mamaolo Rebels, Lebowakgomo Wildbeast, Moletlane Texas, Seleteng Giant Killers and Viking Softball Club from Botswana.
The Seleteng Giant Killers were crowned champions last year after they beat Lebowakgomo Wild Beast 10-4 to win the tourney.
LSA executive member Benny Boshomane commended Wild Beast for honouring their fallen heroes.
“The tournament augurs well for the association because we need as much as possible softball activities in the area for people to enjoy. The players who will be honored by the club have played an immense role in the development of softball in the province. We are happy that the club also invited a club from Botswana and their participation in the tournament will raise the standard of softball in the province.”
