Armed robbers target Louis Trichardt Post Office

Seven men entered the building pretending to be waiting in line before a teller was held at gunpoint.

LIMPOPO – Louis Trichardt police are investigating an armed robbery at the local post office in Krogh Street on February 6.

According to an eyewitness, post office officials were preparing to assist clients when seven men entered the building, pretending to be waiting in line.

One of the men pushed to the front and entered the teller’s cubicle, holding her at gunpoint.

He then ordered workers to hand over money, while the other armed suspects held the other customers at gunpoint too.

One of the staff members told CV that they were still in shock after the incident and that the management had arranged counselling.

Police spokesperson Brig Motlafela Mojapelo confirmed that the police are on a manhunt for the suspects.

He appealed to anyone with relevant information to contact their nearest police station.
